Why are we switching?
The big question, and most important, why are we making the transition from Tekkit to FTB?

Tekkit is outdated, inactive and not supported by the developers - The people who created the mods that are featured in tekkit (without permission actually) are not actively updating and providing bug fixes, some have updated their mods however the updated versions are not added in to tekkit which is still stuck in 1.2.5 which is extremely old, minecraft is up to 1.4.7 !

Basically Tekkit is a fast dying mod pack, its never updated, bukkit have stopped support for tekkit, and its just not going anywhere, Feed the beast is a thriving mod, which is not only supported by the developers themself, but it brings hundreds of amazing features that cant be found in tekkit.
We will be running the Mindcrack mod pack, a list of mods can be found below at the bottom of this page.
