If you try to connect and it says you are missing mods, then you need to downgrade your tekkit client. To do this simply go into the settings tab on the launcher, select Recommended Build instead of Developer Build, and then update when it asks if you want to update.

There is a list of the items and tools that are either banned or limited in the server in spawn, the list is on a monitor screen. I will be adding a page on the website soon where the items will also be listed.
